From October 24th to 26th, 2019, the "3rd International Symposium on Aerogel Materials" co-sponsored by Nanjing University of Technology, Jishou University and Hamburg University of Technology was held in Changsha, Hunan. Prof. Zhang was invited to participate in this conference and gave an invited report entitled "Functional Design, Controlled Synthesis and Application of Aerogels".
        During the meeting, the participants had in-depth exchanges with the reporter, and put forward many targeted and constructive opinions. Many views and topics aroused widespread discussions among the participants and produced great repercussions. The success of this series of conferences provides a good academic exchange platform and a stage for display of results for scientific researchers in the field of aerogels in my country, further promotes industry-university-research cooperation and exchanges, and plays an important role in promoting the development of related enterprises in my country.
