Aerogel blanket market size in China
Aerogel blanket is a kind of flexible thermal insulation blanket which is made of nano silica aerogel as the main material and is compounded with glass fiber wool or pre-oxidized fiber blanket by special process.It is the solid insulation material with the lowest thermal conductivity in the temperature area of about 400℃ (the thermal conductivity in the high temperature area of 400-1000℃ is much higher than the micro/nano thermal insulation series).
Aerogel blanket has the characteristics of soft, easy cutting, low density, inorganic fire prevention, overall hydrophobic, green and environmental protection. It can replace glass fiber products, asbestos insulation felt, silicate fiber products and other non-environmental protection, poor thermal insulation performance of the traditional flexible insulation materials.It is characterized by low thermal conductivity, a certain tensile and compressive strength, convenient for insulation construction application, belongs to a new type of insulation material.

The domestic aerogel blanket market started late, and the early market was mainly occupied by foreign aerogel blanket products, which were relatively expensive and had little marketing efforts.In recent years, with the gradual increase of domestic aerogel blanket enterprises, increasing strength, decreasing cost and expanding scale, the aerogel blanket industry has entered a rapid development channel thanks to the implementation of domestic energy conservation and emission reduction policies and the rapid expansion of economic volume.
According to the Forecast and Analysis Report on the Development Model and Investment of China's Green Building Industry 2017-2022 released by Qianzhan Industry Research Institute, the market size of aerogel blanket in China was about 182 million yuan in 2014, 330 million yuan in 2015 and 605 million yuan in 2016, with a year-on-year growth of 83.3%.The domestic market is expected to reach 3.62 billion yuan by 2020, with a compound annual growth rate of 44%.

Aerogel blanket demand structure in China
Aerogel blanket is mainly used in building materials, military aviation, industrial piping, tanks, industrial furnace, power plants, capsule, warships bulkhead, bullet trains, directly buried pipeline, the injection molding machine, the removable type thermal insulation sleeve, the thick oil mining high temperature steam pipe, transportation, household appliances, steel, non-ferrous metal, glass, and other fields of heat preservation and heat insulation.Among them, construction materials accounted for 41.2 percent.

Aerogel blanket major enterprises in China
At present, foreign aerogel enterprises Aspen and Caobt have reached a certain scale, and a large number of small companies are in the experimental stage.There are about 40 enterprises in aerogel industry in China, and the scale of enterprises in the industry is generally small, and most of them are in the conceptual stage.The degree of marketization of the industry is low, and a stable competition pattern has not yet been formed.
The key industries of aerogel materials in China
Shenzhen Nano Science and Technology Development Co., Ltd. is the first silica aerogel commercialization and industrialization company in China. In 2015, the monthly sales revenue is 70 million yuan, and the export value is 10 million yuan. There are 4 aerogel production lines and 20000 cubic meters capacity.
Guangdong Eli Gel: the first large-scale aerogel enterprise in China and the second in the world. The monthly sales volume of aerogel materials reached 50 million yuan in 2015, and reached 80 million yuan in 2016.
Hongda Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd. : With the patented technology of aerogel preparation, the cost advantage is obvious.Wuhan Aerogel Phase I Project will have a production capacity of 10,000 cubic meters by the end of 2016, and in July 2016, Changzhou will build a production base for aerogel raw materials with an annual output of 30,000 cubic meters.
