On September 17, 2019, Prof. Zhang and doctoral student Guangyong Li were invited to the University of Newcastle in the United Kingdom to attend the 1st Conference on Aerogel Inspired Materials (1st Conference on Aerogel Inspired Materials) and gave an oral report. This conference is hosted by Newcastle University in the United Kingdom. The theme of the conference is that scientists from all over the world gather to share their research results in the fields of science, engineering, technology and application of aerogel materials and their visions for the future development of aerogels. Participating in this meeting has important inspiration and guidance to the team in the design and synthesis of new functional aerogels, the future development direction of aerogel materials, the combination of aerogels and art, and practical applications.
