[Good news] Prof. Zhang received support from the Newton Advanced Scholars Program of the Royal Society

    Prof. Zhang received a grant from The Royal Society "Newton Advanced Fellowship" on March 22. This fund is a talent project jointly established by the Royal Society of England and the Newton Fund, focusing on funding collaborative research activities between outstanding young foreign scholars and British collaborators. The title of the approved funding project is "Biofunctional graphene aerogel fibers for medical applications" (the biofunctionalization and medical applications of graphene aerogel fibers, grant number: NA170184), the funding amount is 111,000 pounds, and the implementation period is three Year (March 31, 2018-March 30, 2021). 

    Prof. Zhang is mainly engaged in structural design, synthesis and application research of aerogel materials. As the first author or corresponding author, he has published more than 70 academic papers in top journals in related fields such as Advanced Materials, ACS Nano, Energy & Environmental Science, Nano Energy, Small, Chemical Communication, Marcromolecules, etc. The SCI papers have been cited more than 3,200. Second, the H factor is 27. The research results have been widely reported by the American Chemical Society (ACS), the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), Materials Views China and other news media, and have been invited to many internationally renowned such as Small, Journal of Materials Chemistry, Carbon, Acta Phys Chim Sin, etc. The journal publishes research results. It has applied for more than 30 Chinese invention patents (16 have been authorized), of which more than 10 Chinese invention patents have been commercialized. Some research results have been promoted and used by some large enterprises (such as Zhejiang Transchem Chemical Group Co., Ltd., Suzhou Tongxuan New Material Co., Ltd., etc.). As the project leader/project backbone, preside over/participate in the key research and development plan of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the "Hundred Talents Program" of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Jiangsu Provincial Talent Special Project. He has won the talents introduced by the "Hundred Talents Program" of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the talents introduced by the Jiangsu Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Suzhou Gusu Innovation and Entrepreneurship Leadership, Suzhou Industrial Park "Science and Technology Leadership" Talents, Suzhou Industrial Park High-level There are many honors such as the talents in short supply and the winner of the Beijing Institute of Technology Outstanding Young Teacher Funding Program.
